Meet Your Katlyn Catamaran Crew:  Doug and Val Fairfield

KatlynTo ease you into life at a slower pace are Doug and Val Fairfield, an English speaking, husband and wife globe-trotting team from South Africa, with many years combined cruising and charter experience. Together we have crossed the Indian and Atlantic Oceans twice, travelled by yacht many miles up the Amazon River, and explored remote archipelagos across the globe. During our voyages, we raised and home schooled our children aboard, and have enjoyed a life living beyond the limits and safety of the norm. Along the way we have developed an awareness, appreciation and respect for the ocean, the sky and the weather in all its diversity. Doug holds a Yachtmaster Offshore qualification, and is a charismatic, adventurous and attentive skipper and host, willing to go the extra mile to ensure you get the most out of your vacation. Val, with her attention to detail, takes care of your culinary requirements and accommodation, as well as assisting Doug with the sailing.
