Meet the Nadiya Catamaran Crew:
Captain Colleen Korona and Chef Matt Proto

Nadiya crewHaving first arrived in the Caribbean on a private sail boat years ago, Colleen traveled and explored the waters of the Virgin Islands for over a year before immersing herself in the charter business. This is Colleen’s 5th year running term charters and she knows where to go, when to go, and what is offerd at the various hotspots around the BVI sailing itinerary. She has all of the skills and passion to provide an exciting and memorable experience for Nadiya's guests.

Chef Matt has been cooking and creating in the kitchen for as long as he can remember and has spent most of his adult life in the hospitality industry. Matt has worked in every environment from fine dining to food trucks. Growing up in Florida, he spent as much time in the water as he did on land, either surfing, wake boarding, fishing ,scuba diving or doing any other activity that involved getting wet!. So when Matt landed in the Virgin Islands, it was no wonder that he felt right at home!
Matt immediately developed a passion for sailing and decided right away to combine his love of food with his love of the ocean, and began the next chapter in his life as a charter boat chef. Matt has also been an avid scuba diver for the last ten years and is currently a PADI Certified Dive Master. So when he’s not in the galley cooking lobster, he’s underwater looking for them!

 Matt has spent the last two years exploring the reefs of both the U.S. and British Virgin Islands and knows his way around the best dive spots. He is also a certified Captain and holds a USCG 100 ton Master’s license

Captain Colleen and Chef Matt worked together in 2014 aboard a very busy Tall Ship sailing charter completing 20 week-long charters back to back - all while maintaining great service with humor and enthusiasm, providing amazing food, and ensuring that their guests had a totally amazing experience!

Colleen and Matt are Nadiya’s dynamic duo with the perfect complement of skills to show guests the time of their lives
