Meet the Pisces Catamaran Crew:  Brendon and Anastasia Besse

Pisces CrewBrendon and Anastasia met in the snowy mountains of Vermont. Their shared passions ignited an exciting relationship, which took them on a journey to see the world. They are bonded their love of adventure, the ocean, and exploration. Ultimately, what sets them apart from other teams is their passion for what they do, and their desire to share this with others. Their high quality service and infectious attitudes create an exciting yet casual experience for their guests to maximize all that sailing and chartering has to offer.

Brendon has spent the majority of his life out on the water. Growing up, he spent his weekends sailing the family’s Pearson 37 and Moody 51 in areas such as Cape Cod and along the Maine coastline. His first job, a sailing instructor for an inner city yacht club, compensated Brendon with racing lessons each evening after work, furthering his love for the sport. He took a short break form cruising and sailing while at university instead pursuing the skiing, mountain climbing and biking that northern Vermont has to offer. However when he was offered an amazing job working for a flotilla sailing company in the Mediterranean he jumped back into sailing with both feet. For the last three years he has been working all over the Mediterranean Sea facilitating “once in a lifetime” vacation experiences for his guests.

Anastasia’s love of the outdoors started at a very young age. Living in Vermont she grew up exploring nature and it's wonders and got a real perspective of what the earth had to offer. Residing on a beautiful mountain lake she spent her summers in the water, and of course shredding the mountains in the wintertime. After her nursing studies, she spent a great deal of time traveling and searching for her next adventure. After spending a month sailing in the Cyclades, Anastasia was hooked, and she hasn’t stopped since. Her passion for exploration and her new found love of the ocean lead her to quitting her job as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist so she could fulfill her wanderlust. As the daughter of a professional Georgian Chef her obsession with food started early age. Over the years she has been able to hone in on her skills in the kitchen, with a little help from mom, and share them with her family and friends. She loves incorporating new flavors in her dishes and experimenting with ingredients. Anastasia takes great pride in her work and considers it a true form of art and expression.

Together, Brendon and Anastasia create a nurturing environment onboard Pisces. Whether it be the top-notch hospitality, the gourmet meals, or the stellar adventure, these two bring it all to the table. Couple these efforts with the luxury of the sailing vessel Pisces, and you have the memories of a lifetime, and a platform to continue exploring.

BREAKFAST

For every breakfast Coffee/ tea/ juice, assorted fresh fruit plate. Whole-wheat toast.
Mushroom/kale/tomato/onion/parmesan scramble. Sausage and/or bacon.
Mediterranean Eggs Benedict- poached eggs atop, sautéed spinach, tomato, feta, and English muffin.
Yogurt with fresh berries and granola.
Hard-boiled eggs halved and seasoned.
Berry-banana smoothies. Oatmeal- honey, dried fruit, nuts, fresh berries.

DINNER

Spinach and Goat Cheese stuffed Chicken Breast- served with roasted red potatoes and garden salad.
Feta and Ricotta Vegetable Lasagna- made with homemade marinara sauce and served with garden salad.
Parmesan Crusted Tilapia- served with a cucumber feta orzo salad and sautéed kale
Homemade Gnocchi- with a garlic/onion/spinach/parmesan cream sauce, garlic bread, and a lemon vinaigrette arugula salad.

LUNCH

Seared Lemon Herb Salmon- with garlic and olive oil roasted baby cherry tomatoes and a garden spinach salad
Coconut Chicken Curry- served with fragrant Thai jasmine rice.
Slow-roasted BBQ Pineapple Pulled Pork- served on a toasted bulky roll with homemade coleslaw and a roasted corn salad.
Roasted Red Pepper Pesto Chicken Panini’s- served with Greek salad.

DESSERT

Homemade Cheesecake served with a mixed berry sauce
Homemade Apple Crisp served with vanilla ice-cream
