Guest cabin aboard catamaran Blue Bayou

Walt and Ruth have been together for seven years. Both enjoy sailing, cooking, dancing, music and entertaining guests. Blue Bayou has been their home since moving to the Virgin Islands in December 2007.

Walt started boating at the age of eight on the New Jersey shore, and has been an avid sailor since 1980. He lived on a boat for five years traveling between New England and Florida. He had a successful career in racing sports cars, winning over 100 amateur events, 26 pro races and two IMSA championships..

Ruth grew up in Indiana and moved to Florida to pursue her love of adventure and love of the water. She holds her USCG Captains License. She is an excellent cook and enjoys preparing a variety of food.

Admiral Mattea is a 13 year old, shy Siamese cat who enjoys watching seagulls and passing dinghies.

Blue Bayou is a 2007 semi-custom Dean 44 sailing catamaran. It was a nominee for Cruising World and Sail magazine's Boat of the Year, Best Cruising Multihull. She was ordered specifically as a well-equipped, safe and comfortable yacht for the crewed charter business.
